ANNUAL MEETING

As an affiliated society of the AHA, the SIHS holds an annual meeting in conjunction with that of the AHA, marked by at least one academic session, a business meeting, and a social hour.

AWARDS & PRIZES

The SIHS regularly awards three prizes: the Helen and Howard R. Marraro Prize in Italian History, the Ezio Capadoccia Prize for Best Unpublished Manuscript, and the Senior Scholar Citation.

The SIHS maintains up-to-date lists of archives, libraries, and various digitized resources for scholars of Italian history and culture. Additionally, the Society maintains lists of research-oriented organizations and institutions in Italy, as well as journals, news media, and general reference resources.

The SIHS issues an annual Newsletter for its membership. It discusses developments within the Society as well as general news of conferences, awards, fellowships and other information. The Newsletter also collects member updates regarding publications, papers presented, honors, and promotions.
